Welcome to New at SU Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators around the world who are sharing creative paper crafting ideas. Each month we are given a theme and we create something to represent that theme. This month the theme is Love and Hearts.
I created this card for our 50th wedding anniversary. It is a tri-fold card. I used a couple of tutorials and added my own touch as we often do in the paper crafting world. I decided I wanted all white with hints of gold and of course my husband’s favorite color-red. I added a little booklet made of vellum. To the cover of the booklet, I glued a piece of the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty paper and a great big red heart with our initials and the number fifty cut from gold metallic sheets. I used the foam adhesive strips to pop up the lettering. The panels are embossed with the scripted 3D embossing folder and the heart embellishments were die-cut from the Stitched be Mine die-cuts.
I discovered a great trick I wish to share with you. I stamped typed my personal message on the inside of the vellum paper and printed it with my ink-jet printer. I could see it wasn’t dry, so I sprinkled gold embossing powder and to my amazement, it embossed. I signed my name with a Stampin’ Marker and embossed it also with gold embossing powder. I left my signature visible hoping you can see the texture of the embossing. This was a new find for me! I hope you like my card.
