Welcome to New at SU Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators around the world who are sharing creative paper crafting ideas. Each month we are given a theme and we create something to represent that theme. This month the theme is Warm and cozy. I think a lot of us will be warm and cozy in our homes this year staying safe. I chose to make a pop-up card using the coming home stamp set. You will find this stamp set in the mini catalogue Aug-Dec 2020 on page 25. I didn’t have any more designer series paper that goes with this set, so I made my own using the smallest house and tree, the car and the wreath. I stamped the images randomly on Pool Party cardstock and embossed with the Pine Wood planks 3D embossing folder. On the inside of the card stamped some snowflakes on the top part of the card and stamped a tree in the center.
I created one pop-up using a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Pool Party, scoring and folding every inch on the long side, made and glued it on the fold. I created two more pop ups (2 x 2-1/4 and 2 x 1-1/2) and glued them to the top of the first pop-up.
You can see here that I had made two pop-ups the same size, and had to make another small one to accommodate the car.
I then stamped and colored three houses the car and the tree and glued them accordingly. I die-cut and glued two trees to each side of the bottom house. The text on the outside of the card is from the Tag Buffet Stamp Set on page 5 of the holiday catalogue.
Pop-up cards are quite easy to make once you know what you want to pop-up.
